He knew he was a wicked miscreation;
Diamond rings for monoxide screams, the monster's motivation.
He was born with the Devil inside, he claimed,
And it was Lucifer's work that he performed;
With each crimson drop upon this Gilded Age,
Another life was taken,
Unseen, forsaken,
A victim who would never be mourned.
He hid among the hosts of heaven,
A flawless angel in the City of White,
Preying on the dreamers and believers
Who knew not that they stood in the Devil's sight.
With a tip of his hat and a flash of a smile,
In the shadows of lies and the great white turnstile,
With fiendish charm did he deceive and beguile...
